Day-by-Day Safari Experience

After a 4-hour drive to Londorossi Gate and lunch at the trailhead, trek through pristine rainforest to Forest Camp (2,900m) during this gentle 3-4 hour introduction to the mountain.

Journey through rolling hills of tall grasses and heather to reach Shira Camp 1 (3,500m), enjoying your first spectacular views of Kibo peak across the plateau during this 5-6 hour day.

Trek across the stunning Shira plateau to Moir Hut (4,200m), with optional acclimatization walks on Lent Hills. This 5-7 hour day on one of the world's highest plateaus offers breathtaking panoramic views.

Ascend to the dramatic Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp (3,950m) in 4-6 hours. This "climb high, sleep low" day is crucial for proper acclimatization.

Conquer the imposing Barranco Wall before a short 4-5 hour trek to Karanga Camp (4,000m), allowing extra acclimatization time before the summit push.

Complete a 4-5 hour hike to Barafu Camp (4,650m), your base for the summit attempt. Rest and prepare as the twin peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo frame your camp.

Begin your midnight ascent through scree to Stella Point (5,739m) and onward to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Celebrate at Africa's highest point before descending to Mweka Camp (3,100m) during this challenging but rewarding 12-14 hour day.

Complete your journey with a 3-4 hour descent through lush forest to Mweka Gate, where your summit certificate and a comfortable hotel await.
